Three Fantastic Reasons to Dine Out at Otel Lobby

There are fewer finer things in life than dining out at a great restaurant with great company which is why restaurants are becoming so vastly popular all over the world. Jakarta is no exception as the typical Jakarta restaurant is both delicious, and stunning inside at the same time. Whether you’re in the mood for steak, chicken, sushi, Italian food, Indian food, or anything else for that matter, you will almost certainly find exactly the right restaurant for you within Jakarta. There are numerous Michelin star restaurants, and critically acclaimed restaurants within Jakarta and Otel Lobby is most certainly one of the most prominent restaurants on many people’s lists of favourite places to dine out. If you’re looking to find restaurants that combine a fantastic atmosphere and ambience, with delicious food, hospitality, and surroundings, then Otel Lobby is most certainly the one for you. Here are just three fantastic reasons to dine out at Otel Lobby the next time you’re eating out in and around Jakarta.

Otel Lobby - Annex Building of Bakrie Tower, Southgate Entrance, Jl. Epicentrum Tengah, Kuningan, Jakarta

The decor – As soon as you enter the restaurant, one of the first things that catches your eye is the stunning decor of the restaurant itself. Combining beautifully finished furniture, accessories, and furnishings, along with attractive serving boards, plates, and platters, the decor of Otel lobby gives off a rustic feeling, combined with a distinctly modern twist that works incredibly well. There are black and brown leather seats, stone walls, wooden features and accessories, and subtle but stylish colours that compliment each other perfectly.

Some of the mouth-watering food at Otel Lobby
The food - Whilst the decor of Otel Lobby is extremely impressive, the main star of the show is most certainly the food itself, and when you sample it for yourself you will find yourself longing to come back again and again. Take something as seemingly simple as a basic appetizer for example. Most people don’t really bother with appetizers as they find them pointless but Otel Lobby are famous for theirs. Their signature full beef hotdog served with caramelized onions and delicious pickled cucumber is a best-seller and is extremely highly rated. For seafood lovers, the seafood malfatti simply has to be sampled, as does the deliciously tender slow cooked salmon. For those with a sweet tooth, the deep fried banana split is like heaven.

The service – People say that the service people get can make or break any dining experience and Otel Lobby have most certainly taken this to heart because each member of their team works incredibly hard to ensure that their customers are cared for in the best possible way. No task is too big or too small and the members of staff will bend over backwards to accommodate you and help you in any way they can. Service with a smile is like the understatement of the century as the members of staff are incredibly friendly and hospitable, adding the final touches to your authentic dining experience.

My Top 3 Favorite Tacos

Tacos have been a part of American society for quite some time now. The recipes for taco originally came from Mexico, but they have now been derived into different variations throughout American culture. We have all seen popular restaurants devoted to serving tacos, like Taco Bell and Moe’s Southwest Grill. Their tacos may be tasty, but nothing compares to the taste of home cooked tacos. The best part about preparing your own tacos is that you have total control over the ingredients. In fact, you can even get creative and make your own type of taco. It is recommended though that you use soft shells for all your tacos because it is very easy for the ingredients and toppings to fall out of hard shells. At least with soft shells, you can wrap the fillings up like a burrito and eat it that way.

If you are looking to make a tasty taco then nothing beats the traditional beef tacos.
  • A better way to make it though is to first cut up steak and ground beef, and mix them together.
  • Then cook the meat in a frying pan, drain the grease and fill the soft shells with them.
  • Next, you can add jalapenos, carrots, onions and any other vegetables you want to add in with the meat.
This is guaranteed to be the best beef taco you ever had. However, if beef is not your thing then you can always try a spicy chicken and vegetable taco instead. To make this you need some boneless chicken breasts, sour cream, oregano, jalapenos, green peppers, onions, and lettuce. If you want the taco to be extra spicy then you can pour some Tabasco sauce on top of the other ingredients in the taco shell.

There are so many ways to make a taco, so everyone’s favorite taco is likely going to be different. But that doesn’t mean you can’t experiment with unusual recipes for new tacos.

One recipe you probably haven’t tried is the chili taco recipe. This is where you replace the traditional ground beef with chili. It is up to you whether you want to have beef inside the chili, but some people just use kidney beans and chili sauce. Choose any meat that you want and mix it with the other two chili ingredients because that will thicken up the chili. That way you won’t have a runny mix that will drop out of the taco shell when you go to eat it.
